Lol you guys
Right so no thought went into the Series X? Stop talking. Enjoy your SSD.
That’s all that is left I guess. To think Sony’s first party will always be left unmatched is like all that’s left so you can go on ahead and keep that. I’ll even help feed your ego..
Damn man you’re right even with 16 studios working together with developers from some of the largest AAA projects in existence cant create a single player game with set pieces That has a good story because welll Sony has monopolized the market and ONLY they can create a good story:. There is n...
Series X dedicated Ray Trace Cores are not only DXR optimized...but because of The PlayStation 5 using less CUs it’s also less intersection engines for HW raytracing that’s tied to each shader unit.
The Series X has 44% more raytracing hardware that can run at peak alongside the GPU,CPU. The PlayStation 5 is falling into that wording of “workload necessary” and even in their deep dive go on to say developers don’t have to use ray tracing led by talking about simple global ...
The Xbox Series X will deliver the best in next gen visuals. Ray tracing which to me is right up there with the excitement for SSDs is an area the Series x will be able to push a bar in visuals we’ve never seen on consoles. The velocity architecture allows seamless open worlds with access to 100gb assets instantly... paired with the systems raw strength and fully customized silicon enhanced by several in house techniques/low level access that even AMD themselves are borrowing for their latest...
As games grow more ambitious and engines advance won’t there always be a “workload” if you want to make
your best game that’s supposedly super powered by the SSD?
Yes but the the 1.84tf difference isn’t the same as last gens difference.. instead of a 900p 1080p difference
This 1.84tf minimum To 3tf maximum difference is equivalent to below and OveR a whole ps4pro. Meaning the Xbox using just its difference could produce a 4k visual.
GCN and RDNA 2... aren’t the same.
If Xbox delivers on the AAA this won’t be the same as last gen... and no not that many people will build a PC to play those games. Who still really says these things and believes them?
“That starts with the "Xbox Velocity Architecture," which Microsoft promises will allow "100GB of game assets to be instantly accessible by the developer" as a sort of "extended memory."
Unless you’re saying the Ps5 is allowing 215GB to be instantly accessible that whole 115% faster logic is thrown out the window.
In this area they will perform very much the same.
Haha nah I just like how this reveal has clung y’all to the make believe.. it’s cute.
Thanks. Both are using RDNA 2. The architecture is the same. As for the clock speeds I get it... and if they both had 36 CUs it would apply but it doesn’t. As far as I know much went into the design of the series X so we have to assume it’s built to fully utilize it’s LOCKED speed with no bottlenecks with confidence.
We really sleep on the technology inside the Series X because we are hellbent in teraflops and SSD speeds.
There’s a chain and Xbox hits t...
People are so “sure” they are delivering full backwards compatibility eventually but nowhere in Sony’s history does it say they will. It’s a flaw in their design somewhere and even if they get it working it’ll feel really shitty knowing on Xbox the same game is actually at a higher fidelity. Thanks to the Heutchy method and the ML that will make last gen games look even sweeter at no developer cost.
Sure guy.
Sure guy. This is Mr. X media talking DX12 and original Xbox One developers talking esram all over again. Sure Sony went and “talked to developers” for an SSD... but it’s like they talked to a Pizza party of 10 Who said 5 pizzas will be more than enough but instead showed up with 30 fucking pizzas and expected every one who attends to eat it all in one sitting.
Overkill. This SSD is not closing a 20% gap broseph.
I was expecting something but this whole SSD overhyping is quite nauseating... this guys gonna lose his dollar but I guess he secures a few with this poor ass attempt of damage control.
Yeah but do you need 5.5 of throughput for that? What differences are people expecting other than load time differences..
The fact is many if not most of n4g believes this SSD will be some visual fidelity factor Microsoft won’t be able to hit.. which is asinine.
I have a hard time believing that even when Sony release their tech behind the Ps5 it will contain any of the advancements between AMD and Microsoft for RDNA 2. DXR, patented VRS, DX12 ultimate and so on.
This isn’t the Pro vs One X. A depending on workload difference that can reach a theoretical 3 teraflops in RDNA 2 is a whole Ps4pro and then some in difference.
Call me crazy but If you could create an entire 4K game using just the gap in power.. how d...
